Our apartments are situated on the lower slopes of the Kathreinkogel (St. Kathrein Hill). Here starts the 30-minute hike to the summit plateau.
On the plateau of the 772 m high Kathreinkogel you can find remains of a fort with an early Christian hall church and a cistern.

Observation Tower Pyramidenkogel
The newly built and world's tallest wooden observation tower in Keutschach opened in June 2013. Including the spire the tower is 100 meters high and offers 3 observation decks. An elevator takes visitors to the observation decks. A special highlight for youth and young at heart is the slide from the observation deck to the basement.

Gustav Mahler Composing Cottage
A small cottage of inspiration hidden in the woods above of Maiernigg. Here the ingenious composer Gustav Mahler has created many of his compositions. It’s a 15-minute walk from the Maiernigg beach parking lot to the cottage.
Opening times for the museum are May to October.

Enchanted Forest at the Rauschelesee (Zauberwald am Rauschelesee)
An adventure playground for the whole family – tepee, a knight's castle, a funny forest theatre and more. All attractions were made of wood.
Opening times are from April till mid-September daily from 10:00 a.m. (except in bad weather).
